Planning ahead is important because cooking a steak can be done in different ways. Knowing what you want to cook, will help you big time on your preparation on how to cook steak. Choosing the right cut on your steak depends on the marbling distribution. This is the white fat portion that you may see on beef cuts.  Fat and steak cannot be separated from each other. So, you cannot prepare a good steak just by selecting an all meat part.

For each cut, there would be a corresponding way on how to cook them perfectly. Grilling may be possible for this kind of cut, but it would not turn out good if you use it on other kind of cut. The cooking time of each steak depends on the type of cut, as well. That is why it is very important to know what you have on mind for your steak before jumping into action.

The trick in serving steak is by making sure the steak is not cold while you cook them. This is because it will take the steak longer time to cook if it is cold. A good steak is when it is served hot on the plate. Start cooking the steak in a lower temperature and increase the temperature bit by bit giving more heat on the outer part of the steak.

To add flavor to your steak, feel free to add seasonings and flavoring. Even though a great cut already has its unique taste, you can still enhance its taste by adding a little pepper and salt. Never be afraid to explore and try on new mixtures on your dish, as long as you make sure that what you add will complement the texture and taste of your steak. To make sure that the texture of your steak will not turn bad, do not do anything to your meat aside from turning it. Poking it from time to time with a fork will not help in anything rather it can make your meat lose its texture.

Once the steak is done, allow it to rest for some time so the taste can be suppressed inside the meat. Give it at least 10 minutes before slicing them or cutting them. Once you made a cut on the meat, it can easily dry up fast leaving you with a non- juicy meat.
